TUESDAY
She said, "If I but touch His clothes, I shall be cured." --- Mark 5:28
REFLECTION: Life is sacramental; God reveals Himself in ways
we cannot even begin to imagine.
Lord, Your work is not my power --
let me be thankful that I am Your instrument.

WEDNESDAY
It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he should not
see death before he had seen the Messiah of the Lord. --- Luke 2:26
REFLECTION: Is anything hindering you from the Lord?
Surrender it at the foot of His cross and claim His healing grace.
Lord, please free and heal me of my bandages.
Please make me whole for Your purpose.

THURSDAY
"Wherever you enter a house, stay there until you leave from there." --- Mark 6:10
REFLECTION: The gift of accepting and reciprocating someone's hospitality
is truly a gift to be embraced and passed on.
When you give away hospitality to your guests, you welcome Jesus.

FRIDAY
Like the choice fat of the sacred offerings, so was DAVID in Israel. --- Sirach 47:2
REFLECTION: How can you be a David to your group?
Lord, may we continue to gather together and inspire more of Your children
to join us in worship and praise.

SATURDAY
"Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while." --- Mark 6:31
REFLECTION: Pay attention to yourself.
Have you rested enough to accomplish more?
Before I ask for anything else, I ask that You teach me to rest, O Lord.

SUNDAY
Rising very early before dawn, He left and went off to a deserted place,
where He prayed. --- Mark 1:35
REFLECTION: Remember the 3 C s - Creative, Conscious Contact with God.
Starting today, I will come to You in prayer each day, Lord Jesus.

MONDAY
"...people immediately recognized Him." --- Mark 6:54
REFLECTION: The first step to greater patience is admitting that
you are not patient.
Lord, I am impatient and irritable. But I am willing to be pruned.

TUESDAY
This people honors Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. --- Mark 7:6
REFLECTION: God's work in us is never overdone.
Dear God, give me the discernment to spot excesses in my life.

WEDNESDAY
"Nothing that enters one from outside can defile that person;
but the things that come out from within are what defile." --- Mark 7:15
REFLECTION: Ask yourself, "What do I see first, what really matters to me?"
Lord Jesus, help me to know that my sin begins in my heart,
and that my beauty begins there, too.

THURSDAY
"Nor will I take away the whole kingdom. I will leave your son
one tribe for the sake of My servant David..." --- 1 Kings 11:13
REFLECTION: A measure of victory begins when we start thinking
of consequences.
Lord, may we not take Your mercy as a license to commit recurring sin.

FRIDAY
They were exceedingly astonished... --- Mark 7:37
REFLECTION: Make the Lord a part of your daily life.
See how He will astonish you when you least expext it!
Lord, thank You for being so alive in my life,
forever fulfilling Your promises to me.

SATURDAY
They ate and were satisfied. There were about four thousand people. --- Mark 8:8-9
REFLECTION: Does the crowd you go with bring you to Jesus?
I am grateful for my Christian friends, Lord.

SUNDAY
Moved with pity, He stretched out His hand, touched him, and
said to him, "I do will it. Be made clean," --- Mark 1:41
REFLECTION: Meditate on diffficulties you have in your own
process of refining.
O God, my Healer, remove from me those parts of my life which are stony.

MONDAY
Consider it all joy, my brothers, when you encounter various trials... --- James 1:2
REFLECTION: How do you react to difficult moments in your life?
Do you seek the face of Jesus?
Jesus, my Lord and my God, thank You for carrying me always.

TUESDAY
He said to them, "Do you still not understand?" --- Mark 8:21
REFLECTION: Think you can never leave your past?
God knows the way.
Though I find myself in the worst of situations,
Lord, You alone know what good I can do to others.

WEDNESDAY
Then He laid hands on his eyes a second time and he saw clearly... --- Mark 8:25
REFLECTION: God never gives up on anybody, it is we who give up on God.
In my stubborn willfullness, may Your grace superabound, Lord Jesus.

THURSDAY
But you dishonored the poor person. --- James 2:6
REFLECTION: Will you do your share for the kingdom by loving
and helping the poor?
Make me see Your face in my suffering brethren, Father.

FRIDAY
See how a person is justified by works and not by faith alone. --- James 2:24
REFLECTION: Find Jesus in you and love Him dearly.
I will love my image seen through Your eyes.
You are a beautiful Creator, I am Your beautiful creation.

SATURDAY
...but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. --- James 3:8
REFLECTION: The truth is costly but it will save your life.
In Jesus' name, I break the power of the lie;
I recommit to the truth.

SUNDAY
When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic,
"Child, your sins are forgiven." --- Mark 2:5
REFLECTION: Do you believe enough in God's goodness?
Lord, give the faith to believe in Your forgiveness
so that I may not be ashamed to turn to You in repentance.

MONDAY
Jesus said to him, "...Everything is possible to one who has faith." --- Mark 9:23
REFLECTION: God will be where the pain is. God is in your heart.
Lord Jesus, I pray that in the reality of my pain,
I will always believe in the reality of Your presence.

TUESDAY
Do not lord it over those assigned to you, but be examples to the flock. --- 1 Peter 5:3
REFLECTION: Do you ever stop and see how you can bring people closer
to God with the simple things you say or do?
Lord, we pray for Your faithfulness as we go about serving You.
Give us a fresh anointing each day.

WEDNESDAY
So for one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it,
it is a sin. --- James 4:17
REFLECTION: A twisted sense of pride is rooted in fear.
God's love casts away fear.
Lord, save me from myself. Help me to learn to strip myself
of all false pride that I will not commit the same blunder that Herod committed.

THURSDAY
...your clothes have become moth-eaten... James 5:3
REFLECTION: There is no stain that Jesus cannot wash clean.
Your blood washes me, whiter than snow, Jesus.

FRIDAY
"Therefore what God has joined together, no human being
must separate." --- Mark 10:9
REFLECTION: Is Jesus the head of your family?
We invite You, Jesus, to take the honored seat
at my family's dinner table.

SATURDAY
...and the prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord
will raise him up. --- James 5:15
REFLECTION: Are you "sick" today? Take your medicine and consult your
doctor...pray and talk to God now.
May Your healing power raise me up and make me immune
to sin in order for me to help heal others.

SUNDAY
Jesus answered them, "Can the wedding guests fast while the
bridegroom is with them?" --- Mark 2:19
REFLECTION: There is a right time for everything, keep in step with Jesus.
Jesus, give me the grace to celebrate Your presence
and Your passion and death in my life.

MONDAY
...His great mercy gave us a new birth to a living hope through
the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. --- 1 Peter 1:3
REFLECTION: Put your faith in the good news, not the bad news.
Jesus is the Good News!
You love me Jesus and I feel strong and secure.

TUESDAY
...be holy yourselves in every aspect of your conduct... --- 1 Peter 1:15
REFLECTION: It has been said before and we say it again --
God's not finished with us yet.
Lord, let me be a mirror that reflects Your glory.
